This book informs the reader in a very original and clear way about the planet we live on. What are those squids doing way up in the mountains? Why is everybody worried about climate change? What do volcanoes actually have to do with the kitchen counter?

Author Marc ter Horst takes us on a voyage of discovery from the centre of the earth to the top of the atmosphere, from the rain forests at the equator to the snow plains at the poles, and from earth’s origins to its inescapable demise. The easy-to-read texts are accompanied by a mix of funny and informative illustrations and photographs by designer Wendy Panders.
